Internship Applications:
If you are interested in being an intern next year, go to Anita Moore's teacher page https://www.magnoliaschools.net/o/mhs/teacher_pages#/teachers/13314/pages/9302 and click on the Internship Application in Documents.
You can do one of the following:
1. Print off the application, complete, and drop off at the drop-off box at the high school. Put application in an envelope with my name on it. ATTENTION ANITA MOORE
2. Complete the information in a Word document and email to me. amoore@magnoliaschools.net
OR
3. I will be in front of school on Thursday, April 9th from 10:00 - 11:30. You may come and pick up an application at this time. You can complete it while at the school. Please bring your own pen.
MHS Students, the governor has announced that we will not be on campus for the remainder of the year. However, AMI work and Zoom meetings will continue as we have been doing the past few weeks. Please continue to stay in touch with your teachers! Be safe and stay healthy!

Magnolia School District Supports April as Month of the Military Child

Coach LaValle will be hosting FCA meetings on Zoom every Tuesday night through May 19 at 6:00 pm. Check out his Teacher Page on the high school website for the Zoom link and login information.

MHS students, to get extra credit for AMI work, days 1-5 (ACT Prep), it must be completed online or turned into the drop box by noon on Monday, April 6. Please make sure your name is on it.
Coach Caston will be on Zoom at 12:30 on Wednesdays for Foundations of Sports Medicine and at 12:30 on Fridays for Sports Med. Injury Assessment.

Jostens will be here April 9th. A-M starting at 10:00-10:45, N-Z 10:45-11:30. If you owe a balance please call 1(800)JOSTENS.
Packages will be handed to you thru your car window. Please drive thru bus circle in front of school.
There is now a drop box at the front gate of MHS for AMI work, library books you need to return, or even letters to your teachers!
Coach Beeson will be available for his Physical Education classes via zoom Tuesdays at 10:00a.m. and his Health classes will be on zoom at 10:30.
Seniors: unfortunately we have had to cancel the 2020 senior play. You may keep your scripts or take them to the office any Monday-Thursday from 8-12 and leave it for me there.
2020 Yearbooks are still available for purchase! You can drop money off at the school (M-Th, 8-12), mail a check, or order online with Josten’s. Let me know if you have any questions!

Magnolia High School Students:
You should soon have an email from your English teacher. Even if you do not have a laptop, your school email account can be accessed on a phone through Office 365. Please check your email and reply to your teacher as soon as possible.

ACT RESCHEDULES TESTING DATES
The safety of students and test center staff is ACT’s top priority. ACT has rescheduled its April 4 national test date to June 13 across the U.S. in response to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). All students registered for the April 4 test date will receive an email from ACT in the next few days informing them of the postponement and instructions for free rescheduling to June 13 or a future national test date.

AMI assignments are made available online at www.magnoliaschools.net under the News section. Links to each campus are provided.
AMI assignment packets may also be picked up on the individual campuses from 1:00-3:00 today.
For anyone who is unable to access the online assignments or pick them up on the campuses, the AMI assignment packets will be available at the following lunch pick-up locations Tuesday-Friday, March 17-20:
o Central Elementary Cafeteria Drive Through- 11:00-1:00
o West Side Park-12:00-12:30
o South Side Park-12:00-12:30
o McNeil Old School-12:00-12:30

Brush off your best lines and your best performance for a family-friendly poetry slam next Monday (3/16) at Mule Kick! Prizes include a Mule Kick gift certificate and some amazing poetry collections. Judges will be Larry Dunn, Kurt Coppersmith, and Kate Stover. Co-sponsored by SAU's Sigma Tau Delta and MHS English Department. Ages 16 & up can enter on Mule Kick's facebook page.
