MHS ATHLETIC EVENTS CANCELLED The track meet scheduled in Camden today has been cancelled. The baseball and softball games scheduled today vs. Ashdown have been cancelled. Make up games have been scheduled for April 20 starting at 5:00 pm.

Shout-out to our awesome library media specialist at MHS, Katy Nix! She works hard to make our media center a comfortable, engaging student space. She provides fun, hands-on activities for our students to work on critical thinking and problem-solving. Thanks, Katy, for all you do to help our students!

MHS BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL SCHEDULE CHANGES Baseball and softball games scheduled for Friday, April 7 have been moved up to Thursday, April 6 weather permitting. Both games will start at 5:00 pm.

MR. WARD INTRODUCES THIS YEAR'S MAGNOLIA READS EVENT April is recognized as Financial Literacy Month. The yearly Magnolia READS (Reading Empowers All District Students) financial literacy event kicked off today for the students and staff members at East Side and Central Elementary Schools. Congratulations to Javeon McCain, who competed in the K-12 culinary cooking showdown at the University of Arkansas Pulaski Tech- Culinary Institute today. He competed against six different schools with his famous homemade spaghetti and won 3rd place, earning him a Ninja Air Fryer!

*Teacher Spotlight* Marissa Youngblood is our K-12 ESOL facilitator and teachers Spanish I at the Freshman Academy. Mrs. Youngblood says, "Education is a stepping stone to opportunities that can change your life! I am thankful to have had educators in my life that have shown me compassion, and care. As an educator, I hope to be a light where I am needed." Thank you Mrs. Youngblood for all you do for our students at MHS, and across Magnolia School District!

Mrs. Cornett’s WOLF Work Base students earned their certification for ServSafe. The ServSafe Food Handler Certificate verifies basic food safety knowledge and is for individuals in food handler employee-level positions. Upon successful completion of the accredited Food Handler course and 40-question exam, the students received a Certificate of Achievement from the National Restaurant Association.

Today's MHS Panther softball game with Malvern has been canceled due to concerns of severe weather. The game has been rescheduled for April 10 starting at 5:00 pm.

The Panther softball team will be traveling to Camden for a makeup game on Thursday. They hope to play Malvern on Friday. All games start at 5:00 pm.
