Columbia County Community Foundation Grant Supports Panther Football Helmet Safety
Magnolia, Arkansas — Magnolia School District and Panther Athletics extend their sincere appreciation to the Columbia County Community Foundation for awarding the district a generous Giving Tree Grant to support the Magnolia Panther Football program.
Funds from the grant will be designated specifically for the reconditioning of Panther football helmets, helping ensure that the equipment used by Magnolia student-athletes continues to meet required safety standards.
Football helmets require ongoing inspection and reconditioning as part of maintaining equipment and protecting student-athletes. The support provided through the Giving Tree Grant will help Panther Athletics offset those costs while continuing to prioritize the safety and well-being of Magnolia's football players.
“We are extremely grateful to the Columbia County Community Foundation for investing in our student-athletes,” said Magnolia School District Athletic Director Chris Pennington. “This grant allows us to put these funds directly toward an important need within our football program. Keeping our equipment properly maintained and meeting safety standards is a priority, and we appreciate community partners who help us provide the best possible environment for our Panthers.”
The contribution is another example of the important role community partnerships play in supporting students throughout the Magnolia School District. Investments in athletics not only provide resources for competition but also help create opportunities for students to develop teamwork, discipline, leadership, and school pride.
