Magnolia Lady Panthers Capture Queen City Basketball Tournament Championship
Magnolia, Arkansas — The Magnolia Lady Panther Basketball Team delivered an unforgettable performance this weekend, claiming the Queen City, Texas Basketball Tournament Championship after defeating six teams in just three days.
The Lady Panthers showed exceptional resilience and determination throughout the tournament, highlighted by a dramatic comeback in the semifinal matchup against Fouke High School. Magnolia trailed by 17 points in the 3rd quarter and remained down 9 points with only three minutes left in the 4th quarter. Behind an explosive 23-point performance by Ke’Asia Pearson, the Lady Panthers mounted a remarkable rally to secure their spot in the championship game. Pearson’s outstanding play earned her the title of Tournament MVP.
Magnolia went on to defeat Arkansas High—for the second time during the tournament—to bring home the championship trophy and cap off a dominant weekend of basketball.
