Magnolia High School Chamber Choir Excels at WorldStrides National Heritage Festival—Hollywood
Magnolia High School Chamber Choir showcased their exceptional talents at the prestigious WorldStrides National Heritage Festival—Hollywood, held in Los Angeles, CA, from April 10th to 14th, 2024.
During their visit to Los Angeles, the students immersed themselves in cultural experiences, including visits to iconic landmarks such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Grammy Museum, Pacific Park at Santa Monica Pier, Griffith Observatory, Venice Beach, and Universal Studios.
Competing amongst renowned choral ensembles from California, Arizona, and Nevada, Magnolia High School Chamber Choir demonstrated outstanding skill and artistry. The event, adjudicated by esteemed professionals including Dr. Kellori Dower (Cypress College/Cypress, CA), Dr. Anna DeMichele (Cerritos College/Norwalk, CA), and James Wilber (Disney Choirs), provided a platform for the students to showcase their musical prowess.
Magnolia High School Chamber Choir proudly achieved Gold-First Place in the AAA Chamber/Mixed Choir Division, along with the Adjudicators Award for Outstanding Musical Performance and the prestigious Overall Choral Group Award.
Under the direction of Larry Dunn, accompanied by Paula VanMeter, Magnolia High School Chamber Choir continues to uphold a standard of excellence in musical education and performance.
