Magnolia Panther Golf Finishes District Runner-Up, Advances to 4A State Tournament
Magnolia, Arkansas — The Magnolia Panther Golf Team is headed to State after a strong performance at the District Tournament, where the Panthers captured the District Runner-Up title and punched their ticket to the 4A State Golf Tournament.
The Panther boys finished the district competition with a team score of 228, earning second place overall and securing their opportunity to continue postseason play at the state level.
Leading Magnolia was Knox Stephens,who turned in an impressive round of 67 to finish third individually. Stephens' performance helped set the pace for the Panthers as they battled for one of the top spots in the district. Stephens earned all-conference honors, which is his third consecutive year earning all-conference honors.
Lincoln Nelson followed with a round of 79, while Titus Nelson recorded an 82 and Jackson Teutsch finished with an 86.
The Magnolia Lady Panthers also represented Magnolia well at the District Tournament, finishing fourth overall with a team score of 370.
Senior Adelynn Bonds led the Lady Panthers, shooting a 119 and finishing seventh individually. Sophie Smith recorded a 125, while Tinley Cole finished close behind with a 126.
The district tournament marks another successful chapter in the 2026 season for Magnolia Golf. Throughout the year, Panther and Lady Panther golfers have continued to represent Magnolia High School with determination, sportsmanship, and Panther Pride.
With their runner-up finish, the Panther boys now turn their attention to the 4A State Tournament, where they will compete against the top teams and golfers from across Arkansas.
The Magnolia School District congratulates Coach Connor Harrington, the Panther and Lady Panther golfers, and the entire Magnolia Golf program on an outstanding showing at the District Tournament.
